
What is a CTE Completer?
The goal of Career and Technical Education (CTE) is to equip students with a broad set of skills that prepare them for success in the workforce. Students who complete all the required coursework within a specific CTE concentration are recognized as CTE Completers.
To earn this designation, students must also compile and submit a CTE Portfolio—a personalized collection of documents that highlight their learning experiences, accomplishments, and career goals. This portfolio not only serves as a graduation requirement but also acts as a powerful tool students can use in job interviews to demonstrate their readiness and professionalism.
The portfolio is developed and maintained by the student with guidance from their instructor and is evaluated by external reviewers using a standardized rubric. For a detailed breakdown of required components and evaluation criteria, please refer to the "CTE Portfolio Scorecard" document below.
