About Randolph Technical CenterThe Randolph Technical Center opened its doors during the 1976-77 school year. At the time, the center was named Randolph Vocational Technical Center until the 2005-2006 school year when the name was changed to Randolph Technical Center (RTC). During the past two and a half decades, thousands of students have received training, developed leadership skills, and grown into productive citizens via the Center. Virtually every area of employment in Randolph County can boast a graduate of the RTC. Graduates have been employed in professional, non-professional, technical, and skilled careers. Approximately 56% of our graduates continue their education; another 42% become employed within the first three years following graduation.
Preparing tomorrow's workers is a great undertaking. Randolph Technical Center strives to provide our students with the necessary skills to become productive citizens. Technological advances have been included in our career/technical training; we are keeping up with 21st-century technology. We also provide our students with a "little extra" job placement and basic skills training. On-the-job experiences, as well as college credit through EDGE and dual credit, are included in our training. In addition, we have ample opportunities for the non-traditional student. |

WV School of ExcellenceRandolph Technical Center was named a WV School of Excellence by the WV Department of Education. This honor was attained by the school for outstanding instructional practices, policies, and programs that foster the development of high-achieving students in reading, math, problem-solving, and expertise in various career fields. The Randolph Technical Center is very proud to have been named a school of excellence.
