The Industrial Equipment Maintenance program at Randolph Technical Center is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for careers in maintaining and repairing various industrial equipment. This comprehensive program covers essential topics such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance. Students gain practical, hands-on experience and skills to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial setting: general maintenance and safety, including operating equipment; basic welding techniques like oxyfuel, SMAW, TIG, and MIG; basic electrical troubleshooting, and repair; and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This program is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career in industrial equipment maintenance and repair.

• 1875: Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
• 1871: Electrical Maintenance
• 1985: Fundamentals of Welding Technology

Successful completion of the program also enables students to earn an embedded math credit.

Hello, my name is Chad Smith. I am the Industrial Equipment Maintenance Instructor at the Randolph Technical Center. History in my field and/or training includes a high school diploma, WV Tech, US Army, NHLA Lumber Inspector, several Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic schools, and in-field experience on sawmills, rolling stock, and forming.
