Option Pathway is a WVDE (West Virginia Department of Education) program designed for students who have failed major core courses and are at risk of not graduating on time with their ninth-grade cohort. The Option Pathway program allows students failing within the traditional classroom an alternative path to earn missing credits and graduate on time.
Option Pathway students will complete a CTE (Career Technical Education) Program of Study, receive HSEA (High School Equivalency Assessment) preparation courses to assist with credit recovery, and complete a senior portfolio. Once all requirements are fulfilled, students will earn a high school diploma from their respective school.
Approval is required to enroll in the program.
